Ryu Seung Ryong, Yang Se Jong, and team scheme for fortune in 'Low Life'

Disney+ has unveiled new teasers for Low Life. 

Set against the backdrop of 1977 Korea, Low Life follows country people who gather to seize treasure from a sunken ship.

The poster features the grand ensemble — Ryu Seung Ryong, Yang Se Jong, Lim Soo Jung, Kim Eui Sung, Kim Sung Oh, Hong Ki Joon, Woo Hyun, Lee Dong Hwi, U-Know, Im Hyung Joon, Lee Sang Jin, Kim Min, and Kim Jin Wook, joining hands to hunt for the lost treasure.  

The teaser opens with Oh Gwan Seok (Ryu Seung Ryong) saying, “If one of us hits jackpot, we all hit jackpot. If one of us goes broke, we all go broke,” vividly portraying the characters coming from different walks of life — grave robbers, appraisers, police officers, brokers, and drivers — each driven by their own desires, united for a single purpose of finding the treasure ship.

From Professor Kim (Kim Eui Sung) spitting out a thick dialect: “All these damned fools have come crawling here,” to Yang Jeong Suk (Lim Soo Jung) proclaiming, “I’ll buy every piece dug up here,” the diverse characters who have jumped into the treasure hunt each bring their own color to the story.

Moreover, the retro mise-en-scène that captures the Korea of the 1970s enhances the K-drama’s realism. Adding to that, Low Life promises stakes and unpredictable twists, drawing viewers in even deeper.

Low Life will release 3 episodes on July 16, followed by 2 episodes each on July 23, July 30, August 6, and August 13, for a total of 11 episodes, only on Disney+. Watch the teaser here.
