Sabrina Carpenter may just be one of the busiest women in music. Aside from touring and popping up onstage at various events, she has also found the time to get some work successfully done in the studio.

The 26-year-old pop powerhouse took to Instagram on June 11, 2025, to announce that her next full LP, “Man’s Best Friend,” is coming later this summer.

Sabrina Carpenter‘s last album, “Short and Sweet,” arrived back on August 23, 2024, and this one will be available on August 29, 2025.

Sharing the news on Instagram, Carpenter unveiled the project’s cover art — a photo of the Grammy winner down on her knees in black stilettos, held in place by a man gripping a fistful of her hair. “i can’t wait for it to be yours x,” she posted as her caption.

According to the album’s Spotify countdown page, “Man’s Best Friend” will feature 12 tracks, including lead single “Manchild,” which recently dropped and is headed for a high debut on the Billboard Hot 100. The track playfully calls out incompetent men.

“Manchild, why you always come a-running to me?/ F–k my life, won’t you let an innocent woman be?” she sings on the song. “Never heard of self-care/ Half your brain just ain’t there.”

‘Man’s Best Friend’ Comes Right on the Heels of ‘Short n’ Sweet’

“Man’s Best Friend” follows Carpenter’s breakthrough album, “Short n’ Sweet,” which propelled her career into a totally different orbit. She scored big with Billboard Hot 100 top 10 singles “Espresso” (a song that was heard non-stop for months on end) and “Taste.” Then there was her first Hot 100 No. 1 single, “Please Please Please.”

“Short n’ Sweet” was Sabrina Carpenter’s celebrated, first-ever No. 1 entry on the Billboard 200, where it sat at the top for four weeks.

Carpenter spent much of the past year touring in support of the album. She kicked off her “Short n’ Sweet” arena tour with a North American leg in September 2024. In spring 2025, she traveled across Europe on a run of dates that will pick back up with two performances at London’s Hyde Park in July. According to Sabrina’s official site, she will swing back to the U.S. for a string of dates beginning in September 2025. Her tour will then wrap up on November 23, 2025, in Los Angeles.
