Saho’s Casting Crisis, Anushka Shetty Opts Out For Weight Issues

It wasn’t the ubiquitous dates but the weight issue that saw Anushka Shetty out of Saho.

Apparently Anushka Shetty and Prabhas, fresh from the success  of Baahubali, were extremely keen to try a completely new genre together in young talented director Sujeeth’s  second Telugu film Saho.

There was only hitch. The film required both Prabhas and Anushka to work towards a much leaner tauter body shape than Baahubali,as the film has many intricate action scenes and several chase sequences.

While  Prabhas successfully worked towards the required physical shape and got there in time for the shooting Anushka missed the bus.

“She was very keen to be cast with Prabhas again and to do the action scenes.  But she didn’t get the time to work on herself, as she was in and out of several projects . Prbahas on the other hand,  completed  Baahubaliand began working on his Saho look immediately,” says a source close to the development.

Rumours of Pooja Hegde replacing Anushka are premature.

“The Saho team is in talks with Pooja,” says the source.
