It could be just a coincidence that Veere De Wedding , Sonam Kapoor Ahuja’s first release post-marriage is a smash success.
The Kapoor family is thrilled about it.
“It isn’t superstition. Just feels nice to have such a success after marriage,” says Sonam who intends to take her delayed honeymoon break as soon as the post-release promotions for Veere Di Wedding are over.
One also hears that Sonam’s husband Anand who has a business empire stretching from Delhi to London may soon expand into film production with his father-in-law Anil Kapoor, sister-in-law Rhea and wife Sonam.
Marriage has proved lucky for Sonam as much as for Telugu-Tamil actress Samantha Akkineni.After marriage to Nag Chaitanya in 2017 Samantha has had four big successes Mersel, Rangasthalam, Mahanati and Irumbu Thirai.
Sonam’s Veere Kareena Kapoor Khan’s releases after marriage Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Ki & Ka, Udta Punjab, and now Veere De Wedding have all been successes.
Hopefully, the perception that married actresses in India are not marketable would now change.
