It seems Shradha’s cup of woes is not likely to turn into a tub of wows in 2018. There is more bad news for Shradha . Her ambitious bio-pic on badminton champ Saina Nehwal has come to a deadend, what with the project being declared by insiders as “stalled indefinitely” which is the film trade’s blow-softening method of saying the project is shelved.
Reports coming in from Hyderabad suggest that the film is no more financially feasible with Shradha Kapoor in the lead.
“It needs a heftier star-power. The producers are apparently trying to re-cast the project with Deepika Padukone in the lead. Her father was a bandminton champ and she plays the game pretty well herself,” says the source.
The setback for Shradha is inopportune , as she had been training in Hyderabad with the real Nehwal. Director Amole Gupte had also prepped Shradha to a high degree of preparedness.
