The mystifying and graceful Saira Banu who turned a year older on Wednesday spent a quiet cheerless birthday , away from all celebration.The recent death of her beloved brother Sultan has yesteryears’ Beauty Queen emotionally shattered.
Sairaji says emotionally, “My heart is heavy with the loss of my beloved brother Sultan. I have no heart to say anything.It is very difficult to make people understand that Sultan was everything to Yusuf Saab and me . He was our closest companion all our lives.Sultan was almost like my twin.”
Too shattered and emotional for celebration Sairaji kept to herself throughout her birthday.With her husband the legendary Dilip Kumar keeping indifferent health she is at 72 lonely and terrified of the future.
Says a close friend of the beautiful actress who gave up her blooming career to look after her husband, “Her world revolves completely around Yusuf Saab. The other person who was closest to her heart was her brother Sultan.With Sultan gone Saira is frightened of the future.”
