Speaking on  the release date of Freaky Ali its director Sohail Khan  says there was no choice but to take on the competition from Baar Baar Dekho, the other film , directed by debutant Nitya Mehra,which opens on Friday September 9.

Says Sohail rationally, “There are only 52 Fridays in a year and we make over 300 Hindi films. So there will be two or more films coming together. As far as our film is concerned ,we had decided on the second week of September long ago. See, Salman Bhai’s films release on Eid. His Chota Bhai’s film should rightfully release on Choti Eid(Eid-ul-Zuha on September 12). We welcome Baar Baar Dekho . I think there is enough room for both films. We’re both releasing a modest 800-1000 prints. Besides, Farhan Akhtar(Baar Baar Dekho’s producer) is like a brother. I would want his film to do  as well as mine.”
