It’s a rare sight you see – stars used to freezing air-conditioned cars and vans stepping out into the heat and eating at local dhabas.
But Salman Khan belongs to that rare breed who is at ease with any and everything. After shooting parts of a song for Race 3, the cast and crew drove down into the interiors, a little further away from the Pink City to complete the remaining portions. The cast comprising of Salman and Jacqueline Fernandez, along with some members of the crew and Salman’s bodyguard Shera stopped at a local dhaba on the way and gorged on some delicious Rajasthani vegetarian cuisine. Director Remo D’Souza had gone ahead earlier.
Says a source, “The night before the cast and crew had eaten a specially prepared vegetarian thali at the luxurious hotel they had stayed in. Salman seems to love the vegetarian food and was perfectly at ease at the local dhaba, lolling and relaxing on the wooden cots that are kept for guests to sit and eat on. They were served chana masala, daal fried, rotis, stuffed naans etc. Dressed in a grey T and shorts he looked comfortable and even took a short cat nap. In fact, the heat was blazing and though there was no air-conditioning, he preferred to sit outside. There was no air of discomfort about Salman. The best part about the super star is that he can mingle with anybody – from the high society people to the common man. Give him the simplest things in life and he is the most comfortable.”
