Speaking to PTI, Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi stated, “I have been asked about the Shariat’s ruling regarding Salman Khan wearing a Ram Edition watch made for the promotion of Ram Mandir. As a Muslim, wearing such a watch is unlawful and haram.”

He further urged Salman to repent and refrain from actions that may conflict with Islamic beliefs. “Salman Khan is a prominent public figure with millions of fans. As a Muslim, he should avoid non-Islamic practices and seek forgiveness for his actions.”

The controversy erupted after Salman Khan posted pictures on Instagram on March 27, promoting his upcoming film Sikandar, set to release on March 30. While fans admired his stylish look, many noticed a gold-dial watch with an orange strap on his wrist—believed to be a special edition Ram Janmabhoomi watch.

A viral video also captured Salman wearing the watch, fueling heated discussions online. Social media users flooded the comments section with mixed reactions.
