After nearly three years of dillydallying Salman Khan has said no to Boney Kapoor’s two productions. the sequels to the successful films Wanted and No Entry.
It must be recalled here that Wanted was the film that brought Salman back into the reckoning in 2008 after a series of duds in 2005-7.
But now Salman has finally made up his mind to not go ahead with the two projects produced by Boney. And it is whispered by sources closes to the Khan family that the reason for Salman’s exit from Boney Kapoor’s productions is Boney’s son Arjun Kapoor.
For those who came in late there have been whispers about Arjun and Salman’s sister-in-law Malaika Arora for years. These sordid rumours, Salman has tried to ignore even as friends have pointed out the relationship to him.
“But Salman cannot ignore anyone who tries to beak his family. Arjun is definitely a hurdle in Salman’s otherwise-warm relationship with Boney Kapoor,” says a pal of Salman.
When pointed out that it was Salman’s Wanted that brought the star back into the race the friend is quick to protest, “In that case don’t forget it was Salman’s extended guest appearance in No Entry that brought Boney’s production house out of the red.So the two are quits. No one does anyone a favour in this business.”
