“Sangeeta Bijalani Was Never Consulted About Azhar,”

While the world and its favourite dj grooves to a clumsy mish-mash of an old Sangeeta Bijalani tune from Rajiv Rai’s Tridev it comes to light that neither Ms Bijalani nor Viju Shah who composed to song Gajar ne kiyahai ishaara, were taken into confidence for their song to  be used.

Says a source in the know, “Forget about taking Sangeeta into confidence the Azhar makers haven’t even asked her  before using her name, and visuals from her film.”

The source says Sangeeta herself is partly responsible for this shocking artistic liberty  taken by a team that wanted to authenticate the Mohammad Azharuddin bio-pic by making broad references to her life and marriage with the cricketer.

Says the source, “The Azhar makers did try to approach her. But Sangeeta made it very clear she would have nothing to do with the project. But does that give them the right to proceed any way they want?”

The re-mix of the old Sangeeta Bijalani number is just one among many artistic liberties taken by the Azharmakers.

Says the source, “Nargis Fakhri who plays Sangeeta Bijalani looks nothing like the original . Nargis doesn’t even speak her own lines.”

Apparently Sangeeta may take action against the way she is portrayed if after release she is found to be portrayed in a poor light.
