Apoorva Lakhia Shocked And Embarrassed By Story
Sanjay Dutt counts Apoorva Lakhia among hand-chosen close friends in the industry. It therefore came as a shock their mutual friends to read that Sanjay Dutt “requested” his friend Apu to postpone his film Haseena Parkar as it clashed with Sanjay Dutt’s Bhoomi on September 22.
Apparently Sanjay Dutt’s wife Maanyata called up Lakhia to ask why her husband’s name was being used for the publicity of Haseena Parkar.
However Lakhia completely denies this supposed distress call from his pal.
“Why would Sanju be threatened by my film? His Bhoomi is very different from my Haseena Parkar. And my film stars a female actor. They are completely different entities . I got no call from Sanju regarding my film. I wish both the films would do well,” says Lakhia feelingly.
