Sanjay Leela Bhansali Won’t Succumb To  Pressures, Won’t Show His film to Protestors!

Expose  Shows  Padmavati Protestors To Be Extortionists.

The Rashtriya Rajput Karni Seva  which has been vehemently protesting against the content and intent  of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s  forthcoming Padmavati  has  exposed  itself to be nothing but an organization of  glorified extortion.

In a television sting organized by  India Today, a member of the Karni group is clearly heard asking for 1.5 crore “protection money”  making these self appointed protectors  of Rajput pride  nothing more than gangsters and extortionists.

Following the expose, Sanjay Leela Bhansali who was physically roughed  up by militant members  of the Karni Seva group while shooting in Rajasthan earlier this year ,decided to keep mum over the issue . However a source close to Bhansali says the filmmaker and his co-producer Viacom 18 Motion  Pictures have no intention of  succumbing to pressure tactics from fringe groups.

“This particular selfappointed custodian of Rajput pride has been intimidating harassing and  threatening Bhansali for months now. He has repeatedly assured them, even in writing, that his film  in no way denigrates Rani Padmavati. But the Karni group insists they will see the film before they allow the film to be released. But Bhansali won’t show even a frame  to these people. They can see the film after release if they so wish,” says the source in the know.

There  is the meanwhile a genuine threat to the filmmaker’s well being.

“He is being pressurized and bullied through various channels. Messages warning of dire consequences are being sent  to the  director. But he won’t let the goons and  bullies sit judgment over his  film,no matter how  much they threaten  him,” says the source.
