While Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor faces the consequences of his association with Jeffrey Epstein, Sarah Ferguson also can’t escape a similar outcome.
It’s no secret that the former Duchess of York leveraged her friendship with the late pedophile for cash payments. In October, The Mail on Sunday shared emails between Ferguson and Epstein that revealed that the late pedophile “secretly bankrolled Sarah Ferguson for 15 years.” But Andrew Lownie, author of Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, claimed to NewsNation that it goes much deeper than that.
“There were lots of other people giving them money, including Michael David Tang; I think Richard Branson was giving them money… as well as Lily, the Dowager Duchess of Marlborough,” Lownie alleged. “There were lots of these people who gave them money because they wanted to keep in with them. And they thought that she would pay them back, which of course she never did. I think the interesting thing about the money is she didn’t pay it back.”

Lownie believes that many wealthy people wanted access to the royal family, so the money was given “under the guise of ‘loans.’” Ferguson’s problems with money go back decades, and the royal experts estimate that Epstein alone gave her “$2 million.”
“He felt it was a good investment as (the Yorks) would introduce him to other royals,” he added.
A Mail on Sunday source backed Lownie’s claims in their October report. “Andrew and Sarah were in it up to their necks with Epstein,” the insider said while noting it was Epstein who eventually “ended up dumping them” financially. “It was always about the money. This was always going to be their downfall.“
Andrew and Ferguson publicly stated that they cut ties with Epstein in 2011, but the truth continues to reveal itself. The former couple was saying one thing to the media while staying in communication with Epstein through the years. It makes Ferguson’s 2011 statement sound hollow.
“I, personally, on behalf of myself, deeply regret that Jeffrey Epstein became involved in any way with me,” she told The Telegraph. “I abhor pedophilia and any sexual abuse of children and know that this was a gigantic error of judgment on my behalf. I am just so contrite I cannot say.”
