Sarah Levy, Phillipa Soo & Adam Pally Lead Indie Feature ‘Run’

EXCLUSIVE: Production is underway on indie feature Run, directed by Melissa Miller Costanzo (All These Small Moments), and starring Sarah Levy (Schitt’s Creek), Phillipa Soo (Hamilton), and Adam Pally (Happy Endings).

Based on Barrie Levitt Knee’s debut novel Plain Jane, the film follows Jane Cooper (Levy), who—fueled by questions of morality and a meticulously curated playlist—sets out to complete the Garden State Marathon while navigating a collapsing marriage, the impending death of her best friend, and a life-altering decision she cannot outrun.

Pic is produced by Barrie Levitt Knee of B’s Knees, LLC and Matt Jensen, with Jax Kossar serving as executive producer.

Levy is best known for her role as Twyla Sands in hit comedy series Schitt’s Creek. Soo, who originated the role of Eliza in Broadway’s Hamilton, earned a Tony Award nomination and won the 2015 Lucille Lortel Award for Lead Actress in a Musical. She most recently starred as Mary Magdalene in Jesus Christ Superstar at the Hollywood Bowl. Pally, an actor, comedian, and writer, gained recognition as Max Blum on the cult-favorite ABC comedy Happy Endings.

Miller Costanzo made her feature debut with All These Small Moments, which premiered at the 2018 Tribeca Film Festival. She also directed the romantic comedy The List for Universal.She worked in the art department for movies including Precious, The Fighter, and If Beale Street Could Talk.
