Sarah Michelle Gellar is soaking up the sun and embracing her playful side during a luxurious trip to Italy.
The “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” alum, 48, shared a series of dazzling swimsuit photos that quickly captured the attention of her 4.8 million Instagram followers.
Sizzling in Sardinia
In the photos, Gellar posed waist-deep in a pool, flaunting her toned legs in a sleek black one-piece while sporting dark sunglasses. “Tropic like it’s hot. I’m Sarah and I am an aquaholic,” she wrote in the caption, sparking admiration and pun-filled praise from fans.
The actress’s vacation carousel continued with scenes from a boat outing off the coast of Sardinia. She was spotted jumping off a catamaran with longtime friend and PR executive Jami Kandel, sipping wine on board, and taking a dip in the sea.

Gellar, best known for best known for her roles in iconic series like “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” and “Gossip Girl,” kept fans entertained with her sizzling swimwear and clever wordplay.
The playful photo dump was just one of several updates from her European getaway. In another post, she posed aboard a boat in a vibrant orange swimsuit, cheekily captioning it, “Felt cute. Might go seas the day.”

Despite carving out time for some much-needed R&R, the trip wasn’t all play. During appearances at the Filming Italy Festival, Gellar traded her swimwear for high fashion, donning a chic Dolce & Gabbana dress for a cocktail party and a striking Antonio Marras gown on the red carpet. Her husband, Freddie Prinze Jr., and their children, Charlotte and Rocky, were noticeably absent from the snapshots.
Per People, Gellar and Prinze Jr. first met while filming the 1997 horror film “I Know What You Did Last Summer” and began dating three years later. The couple tied the knot in 2002 and continue to be one of Hollywood’s most enduring couples.
While fans may not have seen family cameos in her vacation photos, Gellar’s radiant energy and love of life were on full display—reminding everyone that summer is the perfect time to relax, recharge, and “seas the day.”
