Scoop: Secret Closed Door Meeting At Aamir’s Home On Piracy, Adi Chopra Agrees To help Great Grand Masti With Theatres

On Friday a very important meeting at Aamir Khan’s residence to thresh out the issue of online leakage of new releases was attended by bigwigs like Karan Johar and Ekta Kapoor.

One of the issues that was raised was that of  Great Grand Masti whose release is being preponed from July 22 toJuly 15 due to online leakage.

The main issue that was raised at the Aamir’s residence concerned theatre availability for Great Grand Masti at such a short notice, since Sultan has a 3-week contract with theatres all over India.

This is where Aditya Chopra stepped in.

Says a source in the know, ‘Since Adi Chopra was not present at the meeting, Aamir and the other bigwigs from film industry phoned Adi asking for theatres for Great Grand Masti.To his credit Adi who is known not to budge an inch to accommodate films of other producers,agreed to share theatres screening his Sultan with Great GrandMasti.”

Apparently the producers were taken aback by Adi’s co-operative attitude.

Says the source. “Adi has never before agreed to move back to accommodate others’ films. This is a first for him. He realizes the critical situation regarding piracy and online leakage since Sultan was also pirated.”
