With so much fan support, many have questioned if this film would be a one-and-done, expressing desires for more from the same universe.

According to viewers, the film’s ending suggested a possible continuation. After the big battle and just before the fade to black, the demon messenger tiger and crow are shown on screen despite Jinu’s alleged demise.

Many also felt there were too many questions left unanswered, including regarding Rumi‘s mother, Jinu‘s past and demons in general.

Even more encouraging for a sequel are director Maggie Kang’s comments on the subject.

In an interview with Screen Rant, Kang mentioned there were many sequel ideas and paths that could be ventured down.

Always. There are always side stories, and there are things we’ve thought of while making this one. There are a lot of questions that are answered, but not fully. I think there are a lot of pockets that we can explore.
