The Rajesh Khanna song-less suspense 1969 classic Ittefaq which was a cult hit is all set to be remade by the late doyen B R Chopra’s grandson Abhay Chopra.
Abhay will not only direct the remake of a film about a man on the run falsely accused of killing his wife who spends a stormy night with a woman who has dark secret of her own, Abhay will also co-produce the film for his illustrious grandfather’s banner B R Films.
Interestingly Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies and Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions are also on board as producers for this film, while Abhay’s cousin Aditya Chopra whose father Yash Chopra directed the original Ittefaq is no part of the remake.
The casting is yet to be locked in. But
