Shocking Inshallah Postponed, Eid May Have No Salman Release This Year

Audiences  eager  to see the  Salman  Khan-Alia Bhatt  jodi together  for  the  first time  would just have  to wait  longer.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s eagerly-awaited  opus Inshallah which  started  shooting  on  August 21,seems to have  run into unexpected hurdles. The shocking announcement  of the  postponement   of its  release, which was made by Salman on Twitter  on Monday morning, puts  a lot  of  questions in  the  minds of  Salman’s  fans.

Inshallah sees  the re-conciliation  of the  Salman-Bhansali combination  that created  history in 1999’s  Hum…Dil De  Chuke Sanam. Their  coming together again after a long hiatus , with the hugely happening Alia Bhatt thrown in  for  good measure,  spelt  big bucks at boxoffice.

Ridiculously inappropriate amounts of  money  was  being irresponsibly thrown  around on the Internet. One portal even  went as far as  to say that Jayantilal Gada of Pen Entertainment Networkhad  bought theatrical rights  of Inshallah for  Rs 190 crores, a claim stoutly denied by all concerned.

And  now, with Salman  declaring Inshallah delayed , there is  a big question mark over Salman’s revised Eid plans.

Is he quietly working on another film that will make it into theatres  on time for Eid 2020? Or will this  be a  rare Eid when there will be  no Salman release?

It must be recalled that Salman had personally requested  director  Rohit Shetty to  move away from the Eid 2020 release of Sooryavansham  to accommodate a solo Eid release for Salman’sInshallah, much to the displeasure of  the Sooryavansham  hero Akshay Kumar. Now that  Salmanhas moved out of Eid will  Rohit Shetty come back to the  coveted  Eid 2020 slot  with Sooryavansham?
