Shraddha Kapoor to act in Katrina Kaif’s favorite makeup artist Subhash Singh’s daughter’s launch pad Kammo?

Interestingly, Katrina is also getting her sister Isabelle launched this year and the film will be Subhash’s daughter Sonali’s debut film too…

Katrina Kaif’s makeup stylist Subhash Singh is all set to produce his next film, Kammo, directed by writer-director Rakesh Kumar (who has earlier directed films like Mr Natwarlal, Yaarana, Do Aur Do Paanch and Khoon Pasina with Amitabh Bachchan). The film will not only star his daughter Sonali and be her launch vehicle but Singh is also said to have approached Shraddha Kapoor for the issue-based film.

Says a source, “Katrina Kaif, Jacqueline D Souza, and other actress’s makeup stylist Subhash Singh is all set to launch his daughter Sonali in his next production. Apparently the film is being directed by Rakesh Kumar and Shraddha Kapoor has been approached to play the main lead in the issue-based film dealing with young girls who are forcibly introduced to prostitution. Sonali plays the young girl whom Shraddha’s character Kammo (a sex worker) rescues from the flesh trade because she doesn’t want Sonali to go down her path. Earlier Madhuri Dixit Nene had been approached for the social issue-based action-drama to play Kammo.”

Subhash Singh confirms that his daughter Sonali will make her debut as an actress in Kammo. “Sonali has done a lot of costume designing before this and has done an acting course of Bhootnath director Vivek Sharma.”

Subhash is also one of Katrina’s favorite makeup stylists having worked with her for over 13 years. While they had a fight a few years ago, they patched up since then and the actress had even inaugurated Subhash’s makeup academy when he launched it in 2015. Now both Katrina’s younger sister Isabelle (in Stanley D Costa’s Time To Dance) and Sonali (in Kammo) are getting launched this year. Subhash says, “Katrina knows that Sonali is getting launched in my film. When Sonali was a fashion designer and had been a designer in films like Chalk N Duster, Rowdy Rathod and Phata Poster Nikla Hero. Then too Katrina had helped her a lot and guided her. I know that Katrina will be always very happy when good things happen in my daughter’s life and will also do a guest appearance in my film only for Sonali if I request her. Katrina is very fond of Sonali and whenever we are shooting abroad she picks up something for Sonu, as she calls her – whether it’s a perfume or makeup.”
