Sivakarthikeyan Will Play A Woman And Speak In A Woman’s Voice

Kamal Haasan did it in  Avvai Shamughi.

Now Tamil star Sivakarthikeyan will be seen in drag in director Bhagyaraj Kannan’s Remo. According to sources a major portion of the film has the rising star disguised as a woman.

In a surprising move the director and actor have decided  that the female avatar will speak in his own voice.

Says the film’s eminent  sound designer Resul Pookutty, “We had thought of getting a female voice for Sivkarthiyan’s female avatar. But he has now decided to take on the challenge himself.We’ll be experimenting with various voices  and pick the one that suits Sivkarthiyan the most.”

Interestingly when Kamal Haasan played a woman in Avvai Shanmughi he too had insisted on speaking in his own voice rather than getting a woman to dub.

Remo will also be dubbed into Telugu.
