So Ji Sub's next K-drama will possibly be another action genre!

Actor So Ji Sub will reportedly star in another action K-drama. 

On June 20, media outlets reported that So Ji Sub’s next project will be the webtoon-based K-drama Manager Kim

So Ji Sub’s agency, 51K, then shared their statement regarding the casting news. According to them, “It is true that the K-drama Manager Kim has been offered to So Ji Sub. The actor is currently reviewing the proposal.” 

Manager Kim will reveal the journey of a former single black-ops member and single father who has since become a company manager. He was living an ordinary life until his daughter suddenly went missing. He decided to reveal his status as a black-ops member to rescue her by any means. He will do everything to find his missing daughter. The K-drama will depict its story from the webtoon of the same name, written by Toy and illustrated by Jung Jong Taek.

So Ji Sub got the offer to portray the role of Kim Jang Bu, the main lead of the series.

Manager Kim will be the next project of director Nam Dae Joong. He is known for creating the works Love Reset, Homme Fatale, and The Last Ride. This will also be the first K-drama project of the director.

Meanwhile, there is no confirmation yet on the broadcast channel and airing date of Manager Kim.

Just recently, So Ji Sub made his grand comeback to K-dramas after three years. The actor led the Netflix original series Mercy for None with Huh Joon Ho, Ahn Kil Kang, Lee Bum Soo, Gong Myung, and Choo Young Woo. This series was also the comeback of So Ji Sub to the action genre after 13 years. 

Last year, So Ji Sub also made his comeback to the big screen with the film Alienoid: Return to the Future. He worked alongside Ryu Jun Yeol, Kim Tae Ri, Kim Woo Bin, Lee Ha Nee, Yeom Jung Ah, and Jo Woo Jin

So Ji Sub is best known for leading the K-dramas Doctor Lawyer, Terius behind Me, Oh My Venus, The Master’s Sun, Cain and Abel, I’m Sorry, I Love You, What Happened in Bali, and more.
