Sonu Sood Skips The China Premiere To Hold Fort In India

Sonu Sood who doesn’t only play the parallel lead with Jackie Chan in Stanley Tong’s KungFu Yoga but is also the co-producer, is leaving no stone unturned to ensure that the film gets the best possible release in India. In  this endeavor he decided to skip the Chinese  premiere of  Kung Fu Yoga on Thursday evening.

Apparently Jackie Chan was very keen to have his new best-buddy from India in  China for the occasion.

Frazzled with a million marketing obligations Sonu regretfully had to bow out, “Much as I’d have liked to be there I can’t leave right now. We are just a week away from release. And I am handling everything all by myself. I don’t have a corporate house or a team of marketing experts to  help me. I am  supervising the release of Kung Fu Yoga all by myself.”

The  film opens this week in China and Singapore and next week on Feb 3  in India  . It is hoped that the heat and dust over the two Republic Day releases Raees and Kaabil would by then blow over.  Kung Fu Yoga in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu would get a solo release in India. But the following week,on Feb 10, it faces competition from the Akshay Kumarlegal satire Jolly LLB 2.
