‘Southern Charm’ Star Isn’t Ruling Out Possible Reconciliation With Craig Conover
At the moment, “Southern Charm” stars Venita Aspen and Craig Conover are not on the best of terms.
It all began when Aspen chose Paige DeSorbo’s side in Conover’s breakup, saying that she has “a closer relationship with Paige than I do [with] Craig,” on “Watch What Happens Live”.
Conover responded to her comments after on “Watch What Happens Live” on March 27 when a fan asked him about Aspen’s “Team Paige” comment. He said that he “won’t be associated with her.”
“It wasn’t about being on Paige’s side. You can be Paige’s friend or whatever. It’s what she said about me, I didn’t think was true and I think she was just regurgitating gossip from the internet,” he said. “So, I’m not friends with her. I wish her well, but no one is entitled to my friendship and she certainly isn’t.”
But, that doesn’t mean that there isn’t a possible path forward when all of this is officially in the past. In an interview with Deadline on April 2, Aspen revealed that it could happen, yet it would require Conover to make the first move.
“I think it would have to come from him, because I’ve never been one to shut him out or say I’m not interested in being friends with him based off of things he said about me in the past,” she told Deadline. “I just kind of let it roll. I deal with the person that’s in front of me. If he would want to take the time to schedule something to talk to me, or pick up the phone, or send a text message, like most people do, I would highly appreciate it, but I’m not going to be the one to make the first move on that. He’s already declared what he wants. So who might go against that, right?”
After Conover’s comments on “Watch What Happens Live,” DeSorbo reached out to Aspen, checking in on her.
“She was quite disappointed in what she saw, and she reached out to me to check in [and] to make sure I was doing okay, which is really nice,” Aspen told Deadline.
Madison LeCroy Reveals Where She Stands With Paige DeSorbo
Madison LeCroy and DeSorbo became fast friends during the “Summer House” star’s relationship with Conover, which was documented during “Southern Charm.” However, now that the two have broken up, LeCroy revealed where she stands with DeSorbo during an April 2 appearance on “Watch What Happens Live.”
“Of course, I always loved Paige and I always will,” LeCroy said. “I just haven’t heard from her since they broke up. I did reach out, I got ghosted.”
LeCroy added that DeSorbo never reached out after her pregnancy announcement.
“And then she actually didn’t congratulate me on my pregnancy, so I kind of thought, well maybe the silence is enough for me. And I hope no bad feelings, but right now it’s just unknown,” she added.
