Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 fans are in for a treat on September 4. Space Marine 2 has often been regarded as the sci-fi shooter that has usurped Halo and other popular franchises. With a focus on both free and paid updates for its fans, year two is looking to be another strong year for the game.
According to a press release and a new reveal trailer from Focus Entertainment, the year-two roadmap for the game has been revealed, and an anniversary update will kick off the new year of content on September 4. The update will bring new missions, new modes, new weapons, and more.

The September 4 update is adding quite a lot of new content to the game, all for free. A new PvE mission will be added, along with a new PvE mode called Stratagems. On the PvP side of things, a new mode called Helbrute Onslaught is coming, along with a new PvP arena.
Additionally, there will be three new weapons added to the game and a new armor pack called Chaos. Finally, a new Majoris Enemy called Chaos Spawn will be added.
For paid content, as part of the Season Two pass, the Black Templars Champion Pack and Imperial Fists Cosmetic Pack will also be available on September 4. That will bring over 40 new cosmetics to Space Marine 2.

A New Class, New Progression Mechanics, & A Lot More
There is a lot coming to Space Marine 2 for year two. The game will see consistent updates from September 4 until quarter two of 2026. Each patch is bringing new content with it, as well as new additions to the Season Pass Two. More missions and weapons are coming, of course, but there will also be a new class called the Techmarine added in the first quarter of 2026.
Patch 13, which is coming in the first part of 2026, may be the most significant update, as it will add the Iron Hands Chapter Pack to the game, as well as a progression update. The roadmap provided for Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 will likely please a lot of fans, as the game continues to refine itself.
