Starz Cancels Popular Show After 4 Seasons, Spin-offs Possible

Starz is cancelling a fan-favorite show after four seasons, but keeping the door open to potential spin-offs when it comes to the future.

What Starz show is being canceled after four seasons?

Starz has canceled BMF, the (or Black Mafia Family), the crime drama series from Randy Huggins, after four seasons. According to a report from Variety, the series will not be back, but the show might not be done yet.

Spin-offs based around the project, which had been in development prior to the show’s cancellation, are said to still be in development. BMF came from Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, who produced the show via G-Unit Films and Television Inc.

The show originally premiered in 2021, and followed the story of the Black Mafia Family, a real-life organization that was led by two brothers in Detroit and became one of the most influential crime families in American history.

The show was led by Demetrius Flenory Jr. and Da’Vinchi, who played brothers Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory and Terry “Southwest T” Flenory, respectively. Alongside the pair, BMF also starred Russell Hornsby, Michole Briana White, Eric Kofi-Abrefa, Ajiona Alexus, Myles Truitt, Steve Harris, and more.
