Amanda Batula and Kyle Cooke’s relationship have had many ups and downs since the two first began dating in 2015. However, they have overcome them all and got married in September 2021.

The two have both expressed a desire to start a family one day and in an interview with First For Women that was published on April 12, Cooke revealed where they stand with that.

Cooke and Batula adopted two rescue dogs named Reese and Ryder in February 2022, and Cooke explained that they have the “little fur babies to kind of hold us over.”

“We actually have a couple of conversations on camera coming up in this season, but ultimately, we kind of wanted to prioritize her mental health,” he added. “I feel like I’ve got so much going on with my business. And candidly, the dogs are a lot.”

When speaking with Page Six in October 2024, Cooke said that he wanted to have kids soon with Batula.

“I want kids,” Cooke told the outlet. “I think you’ll see this past season that we just wrapped, Amanda and I [are] trying to figure out what’s next.”

“I would say it’s pretty imminent. But I’m trying to sort a few things out,” he added.

Amanda Batula Opened Up About Her Mental Health Struggles in a March 2025 New York Times Interview

When speaking with the New York Times in a March 2025 interview, Batula revealed that after not wanting to go home for Thanksgiving in 2023 to be with her family, she took a telehealth questionnaire that diagnosed her with “severe depression and mild anxiety.”

That allowed her to get the help she needed.

“Once I went on my antidepressants, it really opened my eyes to being like, ‘OK, I want to focus on my happiness before I do what I think I’m supposed to do and settle down,’” Batula said.

She thought when she “was younger, I thought I’d be married at 24” and “have kids by 30.”

But now, she is putting herself first and making sure she is in the best spot possible before starting a family. Plus, her career is taking off!

“I have opportunities now, things that I want to do now, things that I’m passionate about now,” she explained. “And now is the time — strike while the iron is hot.”
