On September 27, Cha Hyun Seung shared a heartfelt message on his social media, writing, “In early June, I was rushed to the emergency room, and in that moment, my life came to a halt. Until then, I had been passing final auditions for projects I dreamed of, but the diagnosis of ‘leukemia’ stopped everything.”
He admitted, “At first, it was hard even for me to accept, and I couldn’t bring myself to tell anyone. Fear and confusion filled my days. Now, with time, I feel ready to speak honestly.”
Cha explained that he is currently undergoing treatment while enduring the daily challenges of his condition. “The road ahead is long, but I will overcome this. My dreams and passion are still alive, and I am holding on, waiting for the day I can stand on stage and in front of the camera again. To everyone who has supported me, knowingly or unknowingly, I sincerely thank you. I will win this fight and return stronger and warmer.”
Cha Hyun Seung first gained attention as a dancer in Sunmi’s solo debut song 24 Hours and later went viral after performing alongside her at Waterbomb in 2018. He also appeared in Physical: 100 and Single’s Inferno. Since 2024, he has been actively pursuing his career as an actor.
