Sunny Leone: Don’t Mind Being An Item Girl

We  saw Sunny Leone doing an item song in the lately-released  Bhoomi. Earlier we saw her doing an item song in Badshaho.  And at the beginning of  the year we saw her perform  an item song in Raees.

But Sunny Leone doesn’t mind being  the  ‘item girl’ in  film after film. “I dont see Bollywood songs with all the negative connotations that are associated with the term ‘item song’. I believe that  if  song enhances the intrinsic watchability of  a film it means I get to work on films that are greater and bigger then as an  individual. I don’t see anything wrong with it.”

Sunny has no faith the ‘item girl’ tag. “ Only the media has coined the word “item girl” it’s overrated and we all need to move on from that word.”

Sunny now prepares  for the release  of her  next film as a lead actress. “My film Tera Intezaar will be releasing shortly To me it’s different from my  films so far. Hopefully people will like it.”

2017 is  lean  year for Bollywood at the boxoffice. But Sunny doesn’t feel it to be an insurmountable problem . “Everyone in the  entertainment  business  feels the crunch. I think it’s high time that Bollywood stop saying that they know the right formula to success and start thinking outside the box. I have always maintained that our consumers are very very smart and know what they want .They  are apparently sick of the normal formula and same old stories.”
