Taandav Inspired by Prakash Jha’s Raajneeti?

There are some uncanny similarities between  Ali Abbas Zafar’s Taandav and Prakash Jha’s 2010 star-studded political  drama Raajneeti.  In both the hero finds  himself eligible for  political  leadership  after his father’s death.Both are  flawed Shakespearean heroes.

 Both Saif in  Tandav and Ranbir in Raajneeti seem to carry a large  element of Sanjay Gandhi in  their  personality.

 And in case  you miss the point, Saif Ali Khan and  Ranbir Kapoor  are both named Samar Pratap!  This looks  like too many similarities all at once to be  a mere coincidence.
