Chinese celebrity couple Tang Yan and Luo Jin are facing mounting speculation about a possible separation, but both have remained publicly silent amid the growing rumors.
Talk of marital discord surfaced after Tang Yan appeared on a recent television program where the host praised her “blissful married life” and claimed her radiant beauty came from her husband’s loving care. The host described Luo Jin as someone who “nurtures his wife like a flower.”
However, following the broadcast, online reactions suggested a very different reality. Many netizens asserted that Tang Yan’s success and elegance are due to her own efforts, not her husband’s support. Others claimed their marriage had been rocky for some time, with rumors of an emotional rift long before the show aired.
Internet users noted that interactions between Tang Yan and Luo Jin on social media particularly Weibo had drastically decreased and appeared to have ceased altogether by 2025.
Since 2023, reports suggest the couple spent very little time together. In a past interview, Tang Yan admitted they were often apart, only managing to reunite for a few days during the Lunar New Year. When she was pregnant, Luo Jin was filming in the remote mountains of Guizhou and returned to Shanghai just two weeks before the birth, only to leave for the set again the next morning. Reports also indicate that Luo Jin spends limited time with their daughter.
Compounding the speculation, Luo Jin’s image as a devoted husband has been questioned due to paparazzi reports. In 2020, he was seen holding hands with a female assistant on set and having his hair fixed by her in what were described as overly intimate interactions. In 2023, more photos emerged of him in seemingly close proximity with actress Zhang Huiwen, their legs appearing to touch while filming.
Reactions have been mixed: some fans expressed disappointment and hope the rumors are false, while others pointed to the inherent strain of celebrity life, often involving long-distance and emotionally taxing separations.
So far, neither Tang Yan nor Luo Jin has issued a statement addressing the rumors.
The couple had long been considered a model of celebrity romance. Reports once claimed Tang Yan limited her acting projects to just one or two per year to spend time with her family, while Luo Jin was praised for always returning home after filming and never leaving childcare solely to nannies.
Tang Yan and Luo Jin first met on the set of The Princess Weiyoung in 2016 and confirmed their relationship after filming. In 2018, they tied the knot in Austria in an intimate ceremony attended by close friends and family. Their daughter was born in 2020.

A graduate of the Central Academy of Drama, she rose to fame with works like Chinese Paladin 3, My Sunshine, and Blossoms Shanghai.
