Gone are the days when she was elbowed out of projects. Tapsee Pannu’s career has never been in a better place now.And no pushing and shoving.
Tapsee looks back at the rejections without any bitterness. “We all have gone through our share of rejections, specially the girls from outside the film industry. The trick is to not let it embitter you. I think I’ve mastered the art of disconnect. I never allowed myself to get bitter over the rejections.”
Looking at the sunny side up is Tapsee’s speciality.
She reveals, “For me a role and an assignment are never the be-all end-all. Nahin milta toh zindagi nahin khatm ho jati hai(if I don’t get a part it’s not the end of the world).”
The last time Tapsee was elbowed out was when she found herself out of Mudassar Aziz’s remake of the B R Chopra classic Pati Patni Aur Woh where he found herself elbowed out overnight by, of all people, Ananya Pandey.
Says Tapsee,”I didn’t allow such incidents to get to me. Now I’ve come to a point in my career where I am spoilt for choices. I turn down so many offers because I can only do this much work. But I will make sure that I do the films I really want to.”
