Days after revealing the happy news that she’s back on set for her latest Hallmark movie, actress Taylor Cole switched gears on social media to vulnerably share how hard it’s been trying to start a family. Her post drew a flood of support from fans, friends, and family.

On April 26, 2025 — the last day of National Infertility Awareness Week — Cole, 40, told her Instagram followers she’d “been going back and forth about sharing my fertility journey on social media for a long time.” But two loving, creative endeavors from friends — a touching song written by one and an inspiring new book written by the other — prompted her to share.

“Opening up like this is not easy,” she wrote. “But if sharing my journey can bring even one person a little bit of comfort, or help someone feel seen in their own struggle, then it’s more than worth it.”

Taylor Cole’s Fertility Journey Inspired Friend to Write Inspiring Book For Her

On April 22, Cole revealed in a funny joint post with Ryan McPartlin, who last appeared in 2024’s “A Very Vermont Christmas,” that they’re currently filming a new movie together. She confirmed to a fan in the comment section that it is, indeed, a Hallmark project.

Three days later, the actress, who has been married to movie producer Cameron Larson since 2020, shared her post about her fertility journey and explained her decision to finally open up about their hard path to starting a family.

“It’s such a deeply personal experience,” she wrote, “and I promised myself I would know when the time felt right — even if our story doesn’t have the ending we’ve been dreaming of… yet.”

The actress, who has starred in over 20 Hallmark movies since 2016, posted a video of herself flipping through the pages of a new paperback book called “The Garden of Maybe” by her friend Daniel Weaver.

“Before anything else, I want to say a heartfelt thank you to Daniel Weaver, the author of a truly beautiful children’s book that he wrote for me — and for anyone walking through a season of darkness,” she wrote.

According to the illustrated book’s synopsis, “The Garden of Maybe” is about Finn, “a joyful puppy who lives on a peaceful farm with his loving mother. He dreams of growing gardenias—his favorite flower—but no matter how carefully they plant, water, and wait, the blooms never come. As Finn wrestles with sadness and self-doubt, he learns that not all growth is visible… and not every gift we give the world comes from the ground.”

Cole wrote of Weaver’s book, “His gift is a reminder that even in the hardest moments, we carry a light within us that no darkness can extinguish — and that holding onto it is an act of quiet, powerful hope.”

In her video, Cole stopped on a page where Weaver wrote a dedication to her that said, “For Taylor — Whose smile, like a gardenia in bloom, brightens hearts in ways words rarely capture. This story is a quiet echo of the love, grace, and hope you plant in the lives of others — especially when you don’t even know it.”

Friends & Family Flooded Taylor Cole’s Post With Support

Cole alluded to her struggles with infertility in December, when she shared what a difficult year 2024 had been via an Instagram post, noting that it had been marked by “unbearable losses and heartbreaking failures.”

When a fan inquired about her struggles, Cole replied, “I lost my best friend to cancer this year while shooting ‘A Reason For The Season’. Coupled with too many failed attempts trying to get pregnant made it a tough year. Thank you for the love. It will get better.”

In her April 26 post, Cole expressed her gratitude for those who have supported her and inspired her, writing, “Thank you for being here, and for holding space for stories that are still being written #itwontbelong”

That hashtag referenced the song Cole chose to serve as a soundtrack to her Instagram video — “It Won’t Be Long,” a newly-released tune by country singer George Birge. It was co-written with top Nashville songwriter Trannie Anderson, who’s a friend of Cole’s.

The “Aloha Heart” star wrote in her post, “A huge thank you @trannieanderson for being brave enough to write a song that inspired me to share my journey.”

Anderson was one of many friends who shared words of comfort and support in Cole’s comment section, writing, “Love you friend ❤️❤️ praying alongside you for a sweet baby for y’all!”

“Dateline NBC” correspondent and Hallmark screenwriter Andrea Canning, who wrote Cole’s “Ruby Herring Mysteries” movies, left three emoji — “🙌🙌🙌” in Cole’s comments. The actress replied, “you have helped me through it all 💝”

Actor Shawn Christian, Cole’s stepdad and a Hallmark alum, chimed in, “❤️ There is an infinite amount of love within you Tay and knowing you….there is an infinite amount of love that you share daily. This chapter in life, however uncertain, can never extinguish that love…these moments become gentle reminders of how your gifts, our gifts, must shine even brighter in more places of darkness that need your precious gift of love. Keep shining your light of infinite love. ❤️”

Hallmark friend Ashley Williams also wrote, “Taylor I love you. ❤️❤️❤️”

Many fans also left comments of support, inspired by Cole’s honesty and outlook, including someone who wrote, “Thank you for sharing your story with us. Please know that we send our love and prayers to you. Love always finds a way. ❤️❤️”
