Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Preponed, Housefull 3 Will Now Have Stiff Competition
It’s a desi franchise versus a global franchise in the first week of June. Housefull 3 no longer has the Friday on June 3 all for itself.
Viacom 18 the Indian distributors of this monsoon’s first big Hollywood franchise film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows have preponed their release from June 10 to June 3 thereby providing unexpected competition for the Akshay Kumar franchise.

One of the actors from Housefull 3 when told of the sudden competition for their film exclaimed, “Arrey, but we unannounced so much in advance!”
While the official reason given for the preponed release of the Hollywood biggie is ‘Global Day’ on June 3, the unofficial reason is far more convincing.
Says a source, “With Hollywood films taking on and beating Bollywood at their own game, bringing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows with Housefull 3 seemed a good idea. So far the big Hollywood franchise films have not taken on any Bollywood blockbuster. X Men Apocalypse took on the relatively modestSarbjit. On March 25 the John Abraham starrer Rocky Handsome was released alongside Batman Versus Superman Dawn Of Justice. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows would be the first clash with adesi franchise.A clash of the titans, so to speak.”
