'Tempest' trends on Disney+, 'Bon Appetit, Your Majesty' sets new record

Disney+ thriller Tempest is making waves on the OTT. 

As of September 15, the K-drama ranked 3rd worldwide in the Disney+ Top 10 TV Shows category (FlixPatrol).

And, as of September 14, it ranked 1st in six countries: South Korea, Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, and Türkiye. It also entered the top rankings in other countries, placing 7th in New Zealand, 9th in Canada, and 10th in Croatia.

Tempest tells the story of Moon Ju (Jun Ji Hyun), a diplomat and former ambassador to the U.S. with an international reputation, who, along with San Ho (Kang Dong Won), a special agent of unknown nationality, pursues the truth behind a massive incident.

Episodes 4 and 5 of Tempest will air on September 17 (Wednesday). The K-drama is available to stream on Disney+, Disney+ Hotstar, and Hulu (select regions).


tvN’s time-slip fantasy Bon Appetit, Your Majesty achieved its highest viewership of 15.45% (nationwide) and 15.81% (metropolitan) for episode 8. As of September 15, the K-drama is grabbing Netflix rankings in about 80 countries.

TV Chosun-Coupang Play-Amazon Prime Video’s Confidence Queen scored 0.9% for episode 4, close to its previous episode’s rating of 1%. The K-drama is trending on Prime Video predominantly in Asia.

Episode 5 of Confidence Queen will air on September 20 (Saturday). The K-drama is available to stream on Prime Video.


KBS’s action series Twelve concluded with viewership of 2.4% for episode 8, its lowest of all time. The K-drama premiered at 8.1% and saw a steady decline with each subsequent episode. Despite the drop in domestic ratings, it trended on Disney+ in Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, and Taiwan.

JTBC’s A Hundred Memories achieved 3.58% for episode 2, rising from its premiere rating of 3.28%. 

A Hundred Memories is a youth melodrama set in the 1980s, depicting the shining friendship of two friends — Ko Yeong Rye (Kim Da Mi) and Seo Jong Hui (Shin Ye Eun) — who, in a tough era, work as bus attendants to make a living.
