The Challenge season 41 is bringing veteran competitors into a season filled with new threats, and those familiar reality TV competitors may be new to the game, but they’re going to change it forever. The new threats of The Challenge season 41 include reality TV stars and competitors from around the entertainment industry who are ready to dethrone the veteran Challengers.
While some have been familiar with The Challenge in the past, none of the new threats have competed on a season before. Bringing in fresh blood from shows all around the reality TV space like Survivor, Big Brother, Love Island USA, and international series, the Challengers are ready to make their mark on the long-running show with high-intensity competition.
Though some of the new players may be new to The Challenge viewers, most are likely familiar faces from other reality TV competition shows. Several of the new competitors are looking to change the game and help create a new generation of Challenge viewers. The familiar faces of the season pairing up with veterans of The Challenge world is going to make for an exciting competition.
America Lopez
Big Brother 25
Although she wasn’t able to make it to the end on Big Brother 25, America Lopez is trying her hand at The Challenge as a new threat. Throughout her time on Big Brother, America was a social player who became known for the showmance she was in rather than the moves she was attempting to orchestrate. America’s strategy was sound, but circumstances were against her.

Reality TV is more popular than ever. With so many to choose from, here are some of the best reality TV shows to stream or watch right now.
A BB superfan, America knew the game, but had a hard time putting that knowledge into practice as the rest of the house was moving out of her control. After taking some time away from reality TV, America’s returning to The Challenge with a new level of knowledge for the show and a different handle on social strategy.
Blue Kim
Big Brother 25
Another social player from Big Brother 25, Blue Kim had a different grasp of the game than America did in the house. While the pair attempted to work together, they were being pulled in completely different directions by other factors in the game which led to more of a frenemy relationship than a friendship. Blue went out just ahead of America in the game, taking seventh place.
While Blue’s social game is what kept her in the mix on Big Brother most of the time, she was also the only woman of the season to win a Power Of Veto competition. Blue may not have been the most physical competitor, but coming into The Challenge, she appears to have worked on her fitness to get ready to take on the new competition.
Cedric Hodges
Big Brother 26
Cedric Hodges was a popular cast member on Big Brother 26, even though he only made it to the fourth week of the competition. While Cedric was one of first houseguests to win the Head Of Household title, his decision to volunteer himself for the nomination block cost him his life in the BB game. Cedric had social and physical prowess, but was too loyal.
Throughout his time on Big Brother, Cedric knew how to develop relationships and use them to his advantage, making allies that were willing to stick up for him throughout the first weeks of the game. With a renewed sense of understanding of social strategy after his first reality TV appearance, Cedric should find more success on The Challenge season 41.
Dee Valladares
Survivor 45
As the winner of Survivor 45 and an upcoming castaway on the milestone Survivor 50, Dee Valladares had a huge target on her back coming into The Challenge. Known for her social prowess, Dee’s strategy on Survivor may serve her on The Challenge, too. Using her manipulation tactics to her advantage, Dee’s proven she knows how to get what she wants.
Dee’s time on Survivor thus far has proven that she can withstand other social strategists and outplay them, but it’s possible that the veterans on The Challenge are playing a game she’s less familiar with. Although it may not be the game she’s used to, Dee’s appearance on The Challenge season 41 is certain to be an unforgettable one.
Izzy Fairthorne
Too Hot To Handle Season 3
Although Izzy Fairthorne is better known for her appearances on shows like Too Hot To Handle and Perfect Match, her time on the reality TV dating shows may be something that helps her during her time on The Challenge. As a cast member of Too Hot To Handle season 3, Izzy got the chance to show viewers one side of her personality.
Coming into Perfect Match season 1, Izzy clearly wasn’t sure what to expect, but she took on the new journey with excitement. Now, moving into an entirely new realm on The Challenge, Izzy’s going to be able to show off the more physical side of her abilities as she truly plays the game. Ready to take on the competition, Izzy could be a threat.
Leonardo Dionicio
Love Island USA Season 5
Leonardo Dionicio was known for his playboy reputation on Love Island USA season 5, which brought him a fair amount of attention from viewers. While the attention he got wasn’t always positive, Leonardo took things in stride once he left the villa. While his relationships with Kassy Castillo and Johnnie Garcia were a huge part of the season, Leo moved on after the show.
After Love Island USA season 5, Leo took time to head back to his daily life and get ready for his next opportunity. Working on his fitness, Leo seems like he’s ready for the competition when it comes to the new series. As a new threat, Leo’s physicality could be a huge benefit to his game, or it could be his downfall on The Challenge.
The Challenge season 41 premieres on Wednesday, July 30 at 8 p.m. EDT on MTV, with a launch special airing Wednesday, July 23.
