With Mickey on trial in The Lincoln Lawyer season 4, the Netflix series has the perfect opportunity to bring back some familiar faces on his side, especially those absent from recent outings. The drama show has a knack for bringing back Mickey’s former clients, colleagues, and enemies for quick appearances across various seasons, but his arrest in The Lincoln Lawyer season 3’s ending will inevitably complicate his relationships with those characters.
As Mickey becomes the defendant, The Lincoln Lawyer’s cast will look a bit different, with Neve Campbell’s Maggie returning to a main role while Yaya DaCosta’s Andy will be entirely absent. The book season 4 is based on, Michael Connelly’s The Law of Innocence, also teases brief reappearances of figures like Lisa Trammell, leaving the door open for the show’s original characters to similarly make long-awaited returns at Mickey’s trial.
The Lincoln Lawyer Season 4 Could Finally Bring Back Shwayze’s Terrell Coleman For Mickey’s Trial
Shwayze Could Be A Character Witness For Mickey At His Trial
One character who hasn’t been seen in quite a while but could finally make a comeback in The Lincoln Lawyer season 4 is Shwayze’s Terrell Coleman. Terrell first appeared in season 1 as a single father falsely arrested for supposedly shoving a police officer with a grudge, though Mickey took on the case and brought his charges down. Shwayze’s character then returned in season 2, with Mickey defending his daughter on vandalism charges.
However, Shwayze’s Terrell Coleman was disappointingly absent from The Lincoln Lawyer season 3. Considering Terrell was an original character crafted for the show rather than being from the books, it was never a guarantee that he would appear again. However, The Lincoln Lawyer season 4’s story gives him a fitting opportunity to finally appear again, potentially alongside his daughter.

The Lincoln Lawyer Season 4’s Major Cast Exit Ruins One Of The Best Twists From Season 3
By announcing the departure of one character in Netflix’s The Lincoln Lawyer season 4, the legal drama cuts short a great season 3 twist.
Terrell Coleman could end up being a good character witness for Mickey to use at trial, emphasizing his goodwill as a lawyer. Even if he doesn’t appear at Mickey’s trial, Terrell could also be someone who the prosecution and defense talk to when looking at Mickey’s relationships with other repeat clients, considering he’s accused of killing his client Sam Scales.
The Lincoln Lawyer Needs More Returning Clients After Killing 2 Off
Mickey’s Returning Clients Are An Underrated Aspect Of The Show
One of the most underrated elements of Netflix’s The Lincoln Lawyer show is the recurring clients Mickey has across seasons, even if they’re minor characters that only pop into the series every so often. However, the darker and more intense Mickey Haller’s story has become, the less the show has been able to focus on that aspect.
Netflix has yet to confirm The Lincoln Lawyer season 4’s release date.
Not to mention, The Lincoln Lawyer has already killed off two of Mickey’s biggest returning clients. Glory Days died in The Lincoln Lawyer’s season 2 finale, with Sam Scales then being murdered in the season 3 finale. Mickey’s list of returning clients is dwindling, so focusing on other forgotten recurring figures like Shwayze’s Terrell should be a point of focus in future seasons of The Lincoln Lawyer.
