The Rise Of Kartik Aryan, Trade Analysts Speak

Like it or not Kartik Aryan is  ruling the entertainment business. Equally popular on the large screen and  on  social media—he  is now the first  Bollywood actor to have  his own Instagramfilter—this  youngter’s rise to  fame is  pretty  much phenomenal.

After delivering a solid  hit Lukka Chuppi earlier this  year, Kartik has encored  the feat with PatiPatni Aur Woh which , by all yardsticks, is a winner from the word go.

Trade analyst Atul Mohan feels  Kartik’s rise  is incredible. “Slowly and steadily …Look how smartly he is playing his cards! Choosing and doing the right films,perfectly targeting his audience by delivering what they want from him. He’s very selective also and doing 2-3 films only at a time.  Not only films but also endorsements. The brand Kartik Aryan is on a roll.”

 Boxoffice analyst Girish  Johar  too feels Kartik’s achche din are here. “Kartik Aryan is the new neighbourhood kid at the BO. He has tremendous talent, charisma and a huge connect with the audiences, especially the youth. He has given good films in the past which have proved themselves at the box-office and also been appreciated by the audiences. He is now selecting right kind of films with various makers.”

Girish feels  positive vibes are  a plus  for Kartik. “He has a good energy on screen and his fan base is increasing with each passing day. He  will have a long innings at the box-office.He is growing and  getting better with each passing film and is trying to increase his fan base throughout the country.He is as natural and sincere to his craft.”

Adds senior  entertainment  journalist and  film author Bharati  S Pradhan, “The box-office is the great decider. When a young actor delivers three commercially well-accepted films in a row (SonuKe Titu Ki Sweety, Lukka Chhupi and in all likelihood, Pati Patni Aur Woh too), it’s an endorsement of his audience appeal. And his choices. Kartik Aryan brings freshness to the screen which is welcome. All of this accounts for his rise.”

However  trade expert Amod Mehra expresses some  compulsory  caution  in  celebrating Kartik’s stardom. “As there is such a shortage of real heroes , if any actor gives a couple of hits the film industry declares him a star. Kartik is one such example.As an actor his performances are more or less best described as acceptable.And he still has to prove himself  a star.”
