Khajoor Pe Atke is a comedy family drama, which marks the directorial debut of actor Harsh Chhaya.
Boasting of an ensemble cast of comedy stalwarts such as Manoj Pahwa, Vinay Pathak, Seema Pahwa, Dolly Ahluwalia, Sanah Kapoor and others, ‘Khajoor Pe Atke’ is a tongue-in-cheek look at how different members of a family react when the eldest member of the family is rushed to a hospital after falling gravely ill. ‘Khajoor Pe Atke’ will offer cine-goers a glimpse into the lives of the most entertaining ‘Item Family’ ever!
“Khajoor Pe Atke is a slice of life comedy. In a way autobiographical, the film is born out of and inspired by my own experiences from within my family and therefore true for any number of middle class families out there,” says director Harsh Chhaya.
“We loved the film at that very moment when Harsh narrated it to us. We wondered if it sounds so good during the narration it’ll be amazing when viewed on-screen. It’s a complete family entertainer for all age groups. A subtle yet sensible comedy,” adds producer Amrit Sethia.
Khajoor Pe Atke is a fast paced mad roller-coaster ride of emotions and yet a pensive look into one of the most poignant moments of human life – Death of a loved one, peppered with irony and sarcasm spiced up with wit and humour.
Presented by S.O.I.E films, produced by Welcome Films Productions and directed by Harsh Chhaya the film is set to release on 18thMay 2018.
