Kristen Doute may not be living in “the Valley” forever.

Days before the season 2 premiere of “The Valley”  aired on Bravo, Doute and her fiancé Luke Broderick confirmed that they will not stay in the Los Angeles area for the long term.

Doute and Broderick are expecting their first child together, a baby girl due in June. But based on their recent comments, their daughter will not grow up in the area where they currently film their Bravo reality show.

The second seaosn of “The Valley” premieres April 15 on Bravo.

Kristen Doute Said LA is Not Her Family’s Permanent Home

Doute is originally from Michigan, while Broderick hails from Colorado. The Bravo TV personalities explained their living situation during an April 2025 interview with Entertainment Tonight. Doute clarified that she will “absolutely” not stay in LA for good.

“Home is just wherever we are,” Doute explained. “It’s not our permanent home.”

“It is for the short term,” Broderick added of living in LA. “I don’t know that I’ll ever call it home, but it is where we are for the time being. My home is with Kristen. Unfortunately, we’re in Los Angeles right now.”

Doute and Broderick’s confirmation that Los Angeles will not be their forever home comes after a source told The U.S. Sun that Broderick does not feel at home in LA and does not want to raise their child there.

“For now, they have decided that after the baby comes, Kristen will move and go with Luke to Colorado, at least most of the year,” the insider claimed. “If ‘The Valley’ is picked up for season 3, which they predict will be the case, they will still absolutely be part of the show. …If anything, they will go down to LA for the summer to film, but primarily raise the baby in Colorado around his family.”

Kristen Doute & Luke Broderick Bought Property in Indiana

While Broderick long made it clear that he prefers the ranch life in Colorado, in April 2024, the couple threw a wrench in the living situation by revealing they bought property in another state.

“We’ve already bought a lot together in Indiana,” Doute told The Daily Dish in March 2024. “At this point, I think … we bought it just to flip it, but it’s in his dad’s neighborhood, so we’re like, maybe we’ll knock some trees down and build, I don’t know.”

Doute admitted that she and Broderick needed to find a “middle ground” for their future home that would make them both happy. She noted that living in an apartment in LA was “not conducive” to the life she wanted to have. The “Vanderpump Rules” veteran, who previously sold her single-family Valley Village home to move in with her ex-boyfriend, Alex Menache, pointed out that she wants to have a backyard and a place for her “dogs to be happy.”

“So, we’re working on figuring out where that might be,” she said. “[Luke’s] a rugged man and he loves to build. Our plan is to have lots of properties in many places.”
