Tom Holland‘s new suit for Spider-Man: Brand New Day is deemed one of the best suits among all the other suits from all the live-action films. It looked like a combination of Tobey Maguire‘s and Andrew Garfield‘s previous suits in their Spider-Man movies. Fans are showering praises for the new perfect suit, which was revealed in Sony Pictures Entertainment’s new video.
In the video, Holland walks towards the camera in his suit and asks the crew, “We ready?” The new suit has sharper colors, more details, and is the closest to what we saw in the Marvel Comics. Here are some of the distinct features of Holland’s new suits from his earlier films.
1 Fans Are Excited About Tom Holland’s Suit’s Raised Webbing

If you notice the suits from Sam Raimi‘s Spider-Man movies and The Amazing Spider-Man movies, they all had raised webbing and a brick texture. While earlier suits of Tom Holland had a more polished surface, highlighting the high-tech theme of the suit, the new suit has gone back to the cool, old raised webbing.
Earlier suits of Holland were more dependent on CGI, while the new suit hints that they are going more towards a practical suit. So, it’s truly a grounded Spider-Man! While Maguire and Garfield’s suits had more prominent webbings, the new suit’s raised webbing is unnoticeable from afar. This subtle approach to the style has actually impressed fans a lot.
2 Tom Holland’s Suit Has a Long-Legged, Sharply Detailed Spider Logo

Fans are finally happy with the MCU Spider-Man’s logo. If you notice the logo in Spider-Man: No Way Home, it was a tiny spider logo, hardly identifiable as a spider from afar. The new suit has gone back to the bigger Spidey logo, seen in Maguire and Garfield’s suits.
The spider logo in the new suit has long legs, finally, which many loved. The spider logo is also sharply detailed, with a much darker version of black than the webbing. It makes the logo stand out on Holland’s chest.
3 The Darker Blue Works Way Better Than What We Saw in Spider-Man: No Way Home

As mentioned, Tom Holland’s suit in Spider-Man: Brand New Day appears to be similar to the one he was seen wearing in the ending of No Way Home. The suit has a dominance of blue color instead of Holland’s older suits, which had red as the dominant color. However, the No Way Home suit’s blue color was more flashy, which a few fans weren’t happy with.
The new suit has a darker touch of blue, which is less flashy than its earlier version. It is a perfect nod to Andrew Garfield’s TASM suit. Fans didn’t get a proper look at the backside of the suit, which is probably going to add a lot more blue color to the suit.
4 Tom Holland’s Suit Has Got Bulkier Web Shooters

One detail fans immediately noticed on the new suit was the bulkier web shooters, placed outside of the suit. Just like his suit from Spider-Man: Homecoming, these web shooters are more visible on his arms. Not everybody loved this detail that stood out like a sore thumb. But the suit’s other major improvements have won over fans.
5 Spider-Man: Brand New Day Boasts the Most Comic-Accurate Suit

Spider-Man: Brand New Day‘s suit is the most comic-accurate of all Tom Holland suits. The suit is inspired by the Spider-Man look in the Marvel Comics issues Amazing Fantasy and later issues of Amazing Spider-Man. A version of this new suit was originally designed for No Way Home, based on these comics, but the plan was later changed.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is currently set for release on July 31, 2026.
