‘Vanderpump Rules’ Alum Gives Surprising Dating Update
Tom Schwartz said he’s not dating anyone, despite the fact that he’s been in a rumored relationship for over a year.
In an April 2025 interview with Entertainment Tonight, the former “Vanderpump Rules” star explained why he was “flying solo” at a premiere party for “The Valley” spinoff.
“I don’t have a lady,” Schwartz told reporter Brice Sander. “No, I don’t have a lady. I’m just keeping a low profile right now. But I’m happy, I’m peaceful. …Yeah, I’m not dating anyone. I’m just hanging out.”
Schwartz was previously in a 12-year relationship with Katie Maloney. The former couple divorced in 2022.
Tom Schwartz Admitted He Has a ‘Void’ in His Life
Schwartz was not ready to have children when he was with Maloney. But now that he’s in his 40s, he admitted that he’s feeling a “void” in his life. “I know I’m not getting any younger, [but] I want all that,” he told ET. “I want to have like… if there’s a void in my life right now it’s probably not having family.”
“But my brother just moved out here. I’ve been helping out my mom my dad. I feel more connected with my family than I’ve ever been in my whole life and that’s bringing me a lot of fulfillment just helping them out,” he added. “So, everything’s moving in the right direction. Things feel good right now. It was a little stagnant for a while there. Bleak I think that’s a good word.”
Schwartz previously opened up about his regrets about waiting to have a family on the January 28 episode of the “LadyGang” podcast. “I would say it’s probably the biggest void in my life,” he replied when asked if he regretted not having children. “I don’t want to get too emotional. But yeah. I want to have kids. I want to have two kids.”
“I come from a big family. I know the trials and tribulations of having a kid,” he added. “It’s no walk in the park. Yeah. But I do want that. I feel like, ultimately, I don’t think my life will be complete or fulfilled without having kids someday.”
Tom Schwartz Previously Said He Was ‘Hanging Out’ But Not Dating
Schwartz has confused fans with his comments about dating. In 2024, he was rumored to be dating Sophia Skoro. In April 2024, the two even appeared on “The Viall Files” as a couple. At the time, Schwartz made it seem like Skoro was his girlfriend.
“We actually met on a whim at TomTom,” the Bravo TV personality told host Nick Viall last year. “It’s funny, ironically, around that moment, I made a pledge, not only to myself, but to the universe, that I will not hang out or date. I’m just going to be single and work for the next two years. Then I bumped into her.”
But less than a year later, Schwartz told “LadyGang” that dating was “the last thing on [his] mind.” Still, he teased that Skoro—or someone—was in the picture. “There’s someone I really enjoy hanging out with, but yeah,” he cryptically added.
In February, Schwartz told Us Weekly, “Honestly, I am not formally dating anyone, I am just hanging out. … There is not much to say about my love life.”
