Having won hearts of the audience for his hilarious character Choocha, Varun Sharma shot to fame with his Bollywood debut Fukrey in 2013. We caught up with this talented actor, prior to the premiere of Fukrey Returns on &pictures, Naye India Ka Blockbuster Movie Channel on Sunday, 20th May 2018 at 12noon.

If not Fukrey, which other title do you think would suit your gang?
Fukrey is the most apt word for the gang. There is no other word that can describe the gang and the craziness that our characters portray. The word Fukrey is typically used in the Northern part of India and now thanks to the movie, the term is known worldwide.

If you ever stumble upon a treasure, what would you do with it?
I will first go to my family astrologer and ask him what to do with it, but will never give it to Bholi because she will run away with it. If she ever asks me to get married to her for the money, I will ask my mother first and only if she agrees will I marry Bholi.

What if you encounter a real tiger someday, how would you react?
I am extremely scared of tigers so I will definitely run away. I am not as crazy as my character Choocha in real life.

What are the three things that people don’t know about Varun Sharma?
Not many people know this, but I am a vegetarian. A lot of people find it difficult to believe that being a Punjabi, I am a vegetarian. Also, I sleep on the floor on a mattress and the third thing people don’t know is that I have never eaten a mango in my life.

If you were a female and were to date a male actor, who would it be and why?
If I were a female, I would want to date Varun Dhawan as he is very charming, hardworking and one of the most amazing human beings that I know as a friend

If not acting what would we see you doing?
I love planes and the aviation industry, so if not acting, I would definitely be a pilot or be doing something in the aviation industry

As per you, what is the USP of the character Choocha in the movie?
I believe the innocence of Choocha is so relatable that people tend to like him. Even I enjoy watching Choocha‘s silly antics because whatever he does, there is a lot of innocence behind all his actions

If not Choocha, which other character would you love to essay from the movie?
There are two characters I would love to essay. One would be Bholi as she is the most evil person in the movie and she controls the boys, irrespective of the situation. The other character I would love to play is Pandit ji.

Tell us something about your upcoming projects.
I have recently completed shooting for a movie titled Arjun Patiala produced by Maddock films and T-series, directed by Rohit Jugraj. The audience will get to see Diljit Dosanjh, Kriti Sanon and me together.
