Anandji Vir Shah
Veteran music composer Anandji,88, one-half of the iconic Kalyanji-Anandji duo which gave us evergreen hits like Mere Desh ki dharti(Upkar), Chandan sa badan(Saraswatichandra),Mera jeevan kora kagaz(Kora Kagaz) and Mere angein mein(Lawaaris) lost his daughter Rita on October 7.
She was approximately 60 years old and the apple of Ananji’s eyes.
“Luckily both her parents were with Ritaji when the end came. She was in great physical pain for some time,” informs music composer Lalit Pandit.
Anandji Vir Shah also has a son. His dear brother and musical partner Kalyanji passed away in August 2000.
