Video Game Release Schedule: November 2025

With the ghosts and ghouls gone after Halloween, November is bringing plenty of new video games to play this autumn. A perennial chart-topper will see its latest iteration in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, which is going toe-to-toe with distinguished October game releases Battlefield 6 and, to a lesser degree, ARC Raiders.

Despite CoD‘s yearly return, however, November has plenty to offer other than shooters. Perhaps most notably, we’re closing in on the Nintendo Switch 2’s first holiday season, and the new console’s year-end slate includes two major releases this month: Tears of the Kingdom prequel spin-off Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment and potential Mario Kart World killer Kirby Air Riders.

CoD: Black Ops 7 Is A Sequel 13 Years In The Making

For the first time in Call of Duty franchise history, the Black Ops series will see a new entry released for two consecutive years. Black Ops 7 comes hot on the heels of last year’s Black Ops 6. While BO6‘s story will continue in the new installment, BO7 is also a direct sequel to 2012’s Black Ops 2, and will see the return of the classic game’s protagonist, David Mason (son of original Black Ops star Alex Mason).

Black Ops 7‘s arrival on November 14 will also, unsurprisingly, contribute its new content to Call of Duty‘s yearly multiplayer carousel, including bringing changes to the franchise’s popular battle royale, Warzone. Most transformative will likely be Warzone‘s new Haven’s Hollow map, which will arrive alongside the start of Black Ops 7‘s first in-game season post-launch.

Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Imprisonment Is A Monumental Prequel

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment, releasing on November 6, is the third installment of a collaboration between Koei Tecmo and Nintendo. Adapting the musou gameplay of Koei Tecmo’s Dynasty Warriors series, Age of Imprisonment serves as a prequel to 2023’s The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, taking place untold thousands of years in the past and following Zelda’s exploits with Hyrule’s first royal family, King Rauru and Queen Sonia.

Unlike its predecessor, Age of Calamity, Age of Imprisonment has the weight of Zelda canon on it. The series notoriously plays it fast and loose with its timeline, but this will be the first non-Nintendo developed game in the franchise to be considered canon. Much of the groundwork has already been laid by TOTK: Zelda, Rauru, Sonia, and the ancient Sages battle Ganondorf’s army before being forced to imprison him under Hyrule Castle.

Kirby Air Riders Sees The Return Of A GameCube Classic

All the way back in 2003, Kirby Air Ride landed on the GameCube. 22 years later, its sequel is arriving on November 20: Kirby Air Riders. This will be the first new game released by beloved director Masahiro Sakurai since 2018, when Super Smash Bros. Ultimate came out.

Kirby Air Riders is a high-octane racing game, but its simplified control scheme makes sure there’s a low barrier to entry. The sequel is expanding greatly on its predecessor, featuring 20 playable characters (compared to Air Ride‘s three) who can pilot at least 14 different vehicles, called Machines. Automatic acceleration shifts the focus to battling other characters, using your special ability and defending against those of the other Riders.

November 2025 Has A Lot Of Indie Releases & Some Big Ports

A Lot To Look Forward To This Month

It’s virtually impossible to keep up with all the video games that release nowadays, but that also means there’s always something new to play. However, a couple of key releases from last year, Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero and STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl, are seeing a wider release with new ports in November. Sparking! Zero will finally come to the Switch and Switch 2, while STALKER 2 is losing its Xbox console exclusivity with an enhanced PlayStation 5 port.

Indie games will shine once again in November, with so many releases you simply have to see the full list for yourself. Here’s a table of every known game releasing in November 2025:

There are also a handful of games with a release window of November 2025, but no specific date yet:

  • Beyond the Grove
  • Bokura
  • EdenSpark
  • Effulgence RPG
  • Huntsman
  • Long Drive North (early access)
  • Rare Collection 1
  • The Bestest Alchemist
  • Voron

It’s safe to say there’s no shortage of new games releasing in November, even if you avoid the heavy hitters like Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment, and Kirby Air Riders. As expected, PC is getting dozens of indie releases, making for yet another busy month in the gaming scene.
