Vishal Krishna Won’t Lose His ‘Temper’

Popular Tamil-Telugu  star-actor Vishal Krishna’s  new film Ayogya which is  a remake  of  the  Telugu hit Temper has  been controversial from  the  moment  its  first poster  showing the  leading man as a cop with a  beer bottle in his hand, made its appearance.

Tamil politicians were  quick to jump at  the  “gross violation of  Khaki conduct”

But  Vishal  remained unfazed as he shot through  a series  of dangerous action scenes  over the months, each bolder than what we’ve seen NTR Jr do  in the original film Temper and  Ranveer Singh did  in  the recent Hindi  remake Simmba.

And now  the fast-paced, slick and  suave trailer is  not. But not without  controversy .When  submitted  for  censor certification  the trailer was pulled up for a dialogue condemning  the current law and  order situation in  India.

Says  Vishal, “We were asked  to  remove a dialogue  .We’ve removed  the dialogue for  the  theatrical  versions  of  the trailer. The dialogue is very  much there in the digital  version  of  the trailer.”

Vishal feels films that question the  Establishment and the status quo must be  made  for  change and progress to happen in society.  “Ayogya not only  examines  the  glaring loopholes in  the legal system  it also  takes up the  issue  of justice for  rape victims.I am not saying all my films will have a  socio-political  message. But I find it  difficult now to use  cinema only to provide  timepass entertainment.”
