Here at Queerty, we typically don’t concern ourselves with happenings in the hetero cisgender male singer community.
But when an infamous gay adult film star, like Brandon of Sean Cody fame, gets involved, it suddenly becomes family business.
How about we take this to the next level?
Subscribe to our newsletter for a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
Oh boy, where do we even begin?

It all started on Tuesday, when alt-pop singer ROLE MODEL posted an out-of-context (and oft-memed) gif of Brandon on his Instagram Stories with the caption, “Mexico City night one tonight.”
(Sorry, girls, it’s a bit too saucy to embed on site, but you get the picture.)
Apparently, it’s tradition for the “Oh, Gemini” singer to post a meme ahead of performances, although we’d love to know how he stumbled upon, erm, this video in particular.
Unfortunately, Pop Crave, a.k.a. the internet’s go-to pop-culture news Bible, did not pick up on the irony… and thought it was a shirtless snap of the singer himself.
“ROLE MODEL looks handsome in new photo,” they wrote in a since-deleted post. Oop!

But worry not, vocal fans of Brandon, Sean Cody, and basically the entirety of Gay Twitter X quickly called out their mistake.
After all, if anyone knows those pecs, that couch, and the adult star’s trademark shaggy haircut, it’s us.
Still, things got even sillier when ROLE MODEL, whose real name is Tucker Pillsbury, decided to debunk their post with some, erm, sass.
“Dumbass,” he wrote alongside a screenshot on his Instagram Stories.
And on Twitter X, Pillsbury elaborated further, quoting the misinformed post and writing, “How dumb do you have to be to think my breasts are that three dimensional.”
LOL.
Nevertheless, Pillsbury’s acknowledgment only brought more attention to Pop Crave’s mistake — and The Bottom Formerly Known as Brandon.
Call it a classic case of the Streisand effect.
Unfortunately, Pop Crave has yet to address the deleted post or assure followers that they’ve done their due diligence and have since familiarized themselves with Brandon’s filmography.
Their loss, TBH.
And as for ROLE MODEL, it seems he’s already said his piece… and may think twice before meme-ing a Sean Cody model again.
Otherwise, it’s been a landmark year for the 28-year-old singer, who skyrocketed to fame after releasing his sophomore album, Kansas Anymore, last year. (Considering its title is a Wizard of Oz reference, we’re obsessed.)
Most notably, he captured our attention with his viral performances of “Sally, When the Wine Runs Out.”
During the bridge, Pillsbury brings out celebrities like Bowen Yang, Natalie Portman, and Conan Gray to play Sally and dance on stage. (It’s pretty adorable.)
That said, we’re still left with one question about the whole mix-up.
Why does he know about Brandon, though?!?
