SBS’s “The Haunted Palace” has shared a sneak peek from its first day of filming!

“The Haunted Palace” is a fantasy historical rom-com that delves into the tale of the Eight Feet Tall spirit that bears a grudge against the king, a female shaman who opposes it, and an Imugi (imaginary creature that is able to transform into a dragon upon acquiring a magical jewel).

In the newly released video, BTOB’s Yook Sungjae is seen getting ready for his first scene. He explains that his character Yoon Gap returns to his hometown as an adult and reunites with his childhood friend Yeo Ri (WJSN’s Kim Ji Yeon). He shares, “It felt awkward, and I was quite nervous acting in hanbok (Korean traditional clothing) for the first time, but I’m sure I’ll get more comfortable with it.”

Kim Ji Yeon also expresses her thoughts about the first shoot. She says, “The atmosphere on set was so positive from the start, which really put me at ease. Since we began the filming during the hot summer, I hope we can all push through the heat together and make this a fun and safe production.”

Meanwhile, Kim Ji Hun, who plays King Yi Jeong, gives a glimpse of his playful personality behind the scenes. Taking a break, he sits on the steps looking tired and makes some adorable gestures at the camera. He also teases viewers, saying, “This drama is going to be really interesting and super fun. Please look forward to it.”
