Director Slams Reports Of Newcomer Rejecting His Film
It is in extremely bad taste to talk about projects that you are not doing, specially when you were never offered a project in the first place.
This, newcomer Harshvardhan Kapoor would have to learn the hard way. His over-zealous marketing team put their collective foot in their mouth by putting out planted stories about young Kapoorhaving said no to co-directors Raj Nidomoru and Krishna DK’s proposed film Farzi.
Upcoming stars often leak out unfounded stories about being “considered” for prized roles when there is no truth to these claims.Come to think of it even directors do the same. Recently Sabbir Khan’s tall(and false) claim that he would be directing SalmanKhan in Dabangg 3 earned him a public snub from Arbaaz Khan.
Harshvardhan Kapoor’s team went a little too far, rubbishing the script of Farzi even while claiming the young actor rejected the role.
Incensed and amused Raj Nidimoru protests, “We’ve haven’t even approached him..In fact we have’t approached anyone. My partner Krishna and I have been too busy completing and releasing A Gentleman. We now plan to take one month off and concentrate on finishing the script.”
In the meanwhile Harshvardhan is busy wrapping up VikramadityaMotwane’s Bhavesh Joshi and has begun preparing to play sharp shooter Abhinav Bindra in a bio-pic. Neither project is seen to be financially feasible as Harshvardhan Kapoor is yet to prove his boxoffice credentials.
